Divinte Doula & Birth Services
You are the best person equipped to make all the right decisions that work for you. Your power is already your own. The Doula’s job is to help you explore all of the available options as you prepare to make one of the most life-changing experiences of your existence; giving birth.
Why Have a Doula by Your Side?
Through this life-changing experience you deserve nothing but compassion and non-judgmental support that is going to be there and serve you unconditionally. It’s my priority to understand your hopes and fears surrounding your birth so that you may feel seen and heard. I will not tell you that there is a “right” or “wrong” way to go about your delivery and I will not leave your side even if you change your plan – life happens. You have my support; I believe in you.
The Doula Package
The Doula package is an in-depth service created to offer expecting parents advocacy, information, and ongoing support throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum.
To start we’ll schedule a free consultation for us to meet, discuss applicable services, touch upon reasons that you may desire Doula care, and establish if I am the right Doula for you and your family. These consultations typically take about an hour.
What Does The Doula Package Cost?
The doula package is an all-inclusive fee of $800. Payment plans are available.
What Does The Doula Package Included?
2 Prenatal Visits
Trust is everything in Doula care. These meetings are held with open discussion and an open mind to enable building a strong support team. Typically the first visit is focused around the family and who you would like present at the birth. The second visit is with the mother where we’ll discuss anything that she personally would like to review in private. During both sessions we’ll discuss birth preferences, create a personalized birth plan, review labor positions and comfort measures, and discuss anything that needs to be reviewed.
Unlimited Phone, Text, and Email Support
At an exciting time such as pregnancy and impending birth, questions and emotional support may be desired, valued, and encouraged. I am just a phone call away and can make some suggestions where applicable. Sometimes you may even just need someone to simply listen.
Resource and Information Sheets
Information is provided to help you stay informed and connect you with some wonderful prenatal and postpartum services in the NH and Southern ME areas.
Labor and Birth Support at Home or in the Hospital
Hospital or home support is available in a variety of ways including physical comfort measures, mental/emotional encouragement, positioning, labor progression techniques, and working with your medical providers to honor and advocate for your birth preferences.
Immediate Postpartum Support
After your baby is born, I will stay with you for up to two hours to assist with family bonding, breast feeding, help remind staff our your newborn decisions, and welcome the newest member of your family.
Postpartum Home Visit
Once you are home with your baby and have settled in, I will come visit anywhere from 1-2 weeks after delivery. At the home visit, I will offer transitional support to assist with processing the birth experience, answer any newborn care questions, or whatever else that is on your mind to discuss.
One Hour Reiki Add-On Sessions
At any time during prenatal or postpartum you may add a reiki session for $45 (typically $60) as an additional care option. Reiki is great for enhancing the mother/baby connection and provide relief for pregnancy ailments such as pain, stress, anxiety, and nausea. For new mothers, reiki is a safe and supportive space to re-orientate themselves to their body and help speed up the healing process. Reiki has also been known to help with postpartum depression, sleep issues, and anxiety for mothers.
